PROFILE

I am a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Sustainable Urban Planning, Masterplanning and Urban Design providing consultancy support to various public and private bodies in the UK and Middle East. 

I am a Design Council Expert, Recognised Urban Design Practitioner and Chartered member of the Royal Town Planning Institute with a PhD in Urban Studies. I sit on various boards including the Design Council, Fulbright Commission and  Chair of the Winchester and Eastleigh Design Review Panel. 

I have over 15 years in practice as a Strategic Masterplanner and Urban Designer and worked with multi-disciplinary consultancies in the UK and the Middle East. I collaborate with developers, local authorities and governmental organisations to prepare strategic planning documents, masterplans,  urban design frameworks and urban assessments for cities, towns and new neighbourhoods including residential, leisure, commercial and mixed-use developments,.

I have been consulted to provide urban planning and urban design guidance on different developments in Greater Cairo, Kuwait City and  metropolitan area, Greater London, Birmingham, Staffordshire, Brighton, Exeter, Portsmouth and Winchester. 

As an Associate Professor I have lectured at a number of accredited international architectural schools at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and I was nominated as a Fulbright Visiting Professor to conduct research and lecture at the Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning, University of Michigan.
